Our Solution & Optimisation team have an exciting opportunity for an analytically strong Solution Design Analyst where you will support both M&S and Gist on the network renewal programme applying analytical techniques to produce outputs which will be instrumental in shaping the future network, automation and design processes.
This pivotal role will see you working either at our Gist Chineham or M&S Paddington offices with the ability to work from home.
Reporting into the Head of Solutions, you will be crucial in applying problem solving to a range of operational and organisational challenges where you will engage with both M&S and Gist stakeholders to drive change projects gaining buy-in and agreement. You will take time to understand the M&S and Gist data structure and access to enable you to recommend the most suitable solution.
This role will see you forming new analytical techniques to solve complex problems and challenges in a practical, robust and coherent way. You will use analytical skills to support the wider team to drive informed decision making and produce compelling outputs and communicate with senior stakeholders to help shape their thinking on materials and information gathered.
To be successful in your application you will hold a mathematical or data science degree with proven analytical experience and advanced skills in programme language, Python, and SQL.
You will be able to formulate concise approaches to analytical problem solving, producing and interpreting compelling materials explaining complex problems and outputs. It goes without saying that you will be a strong communicator and influencer with the ability to form excellent working relationships at all levels both within Gist and M&S.
