Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Solution Architect at Cromwell Hospital, London. This hybrid role requires 2 days on site with 37.5 hours per week and a salary from £90,000 per year depending on experience.

You will lead architecture across acquisitions, design scalable cloud-based systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value solutions while ensuring governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Solution Architecture roles.
• Design end-to-end solutions for high-availability web, mobile, and cloud-based systems.
• Proficient in UML and C4 modelling.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Platform and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Solid background in web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, REST, XML, OData).
• Proficiency in Node.js, Java, C#, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) including PaaS and migrations.
• Expertise in Microservices, API-led design, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud-native patterns.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and technical teams.
• Experience designing scalable, secure data architectures.
• Healthcare knowledge is preferred.
• Experience integrating systems during acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and integration across acquisitions and new build sites.
• Assess budgets for integration, identify risks and mitigations.
• Translate business challenges into strategic technology solutions balancing cost, risk, and time to value.
• Collaborate across architecture, engineering, data, security, and operations to deliver the technical vision.
• Design end-to-end solutions aligned with governance and standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners for delivery.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions meet governance, compliance and quality standards.
