Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer for a well-established equipment manufacturer based in Sheen, Staffordshire. The role focuses on using SolidWorks to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

You will design systems and products, prepare detailed specifications, generate cost quotations, produce electrical harness drawings, create Bills of Materials, and ensure projects meet legal and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Solidworks.
• Based within a commutable distance of Sheen, Buxton.
• Able to communicate with suppliers and customers.
• IT literate with Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Designing systems and products with Solidworks 3D modelling.
• Preparing detailed specifications and technical drawings.
• Researching solutions and producing cost quotations.
• Producing electrical harness drawings using 3D design software.
• Creating Bills of Materials.
