Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer for a well-established equipment manufacturer based in Sheen, Staffordshire. The role focuses on using SolidWorks to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

You will design systems and products, prepare detailed specifications, generate cost quotations, produce electrical harness drawings, create Bills of Materials, and ensure projects meet legal and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Solidworks.
• Based within a commutable distance of Sheen, Buxton.
• Able to communicate with suppliers and customers.
• IT literate with Outlook, Word and Excel.

Salary: £28,000 - 35,000 - Depending on experience

Design Engineer required for a well-established equipment manufacturer based in Sheen, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be joining a well-respected company and will be responsible for utilising Solidworks to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

Design Engineer Position Overview

• Designing systems and products with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
• Preparing detailed specifications and technical drawings
• Researching suitable solutions and producing cost quotations
• Producing electrical harness drawings using 3D design software
• Creating Bill of Materials
• Ensuring projects meeting legal and safety requirements

Design Engineer Position Requirements

• Either degree qualified within an Engineering related subject or equivelant experience within a Design Engineering role
• Proficient with the use of Solidworks
• Based in a commutable distance of Sheen, Buxton
• Able to communicate appropriately with suppliers and customers
• IT literate with the use of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Design Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 - Depending on experience

Permanent position. Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00. Friday 08:00 - 14:30. 32 days holiday, including bank holidays
