Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Design Engineer near Leek, Staffordshire, to design systems and products using Solidworks, and to prepare detailed drawings and BOMs. The role involves producing 3D models and electrical harness diagrams, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have an engineering degree or equivalent experience, be proficient in Solidworks, and reside within commuting distance of Leek.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent design engineering experience.
• Proficient with Solidworks for 3D modelling and drawings.
• Able to communicate with suppliers and customers; commuting distance to Leek.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and products using Solidworks to create 3D models.
• Prepare detailed specifications and technical drawings.
• Research solutions and produce cost quotations.
• Produce electrical harness drawings using 3D design software.
• Create Bills of Materials.
• Ensure projects meet legal and safety requirements.
