Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a leading specialist in Material Handling machinery to recruit an experienced SolidWorks Applications Engineer. You will design and bring to life large scale manufacturing layouts and machinery engineering solutions, supporting sales with 3D and 2D software.

You will animate machinery designs, create low-res shells of modules, and develop 3D model libraries for sales across all product types, ensuring accurate sizing and flows.

Qualifications

• Strong in using SolidWorks for 3D layouts and design
• Experience with 2D software in engineering workflows
• Applications Engineering experience in machinery or similar

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D layouts of large scale machinery
• Animate designs to show material flow and maintenance access
• Develop low-res shells for standard product modules
• Create eye-catching flow diagrams (e.g. in Visio) to illustrate processes
• Produce automated BOMs from SolidWorks and assist tender bids
