Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd are recruiting an experienced SolidWorks Applications Engineer for a leading specialist Material Handling machinery design, manufacturing & installation business in the United Kingdom. You will design and bring to life large-scale plant layouts and machinery engineering solutions, supporting the sales department using 3D SolidWorks as well as 2D software.

Qualifications

• Strong SolidWorks experience for 3D applications.
• 2D CAD software experience.
• Applications engineering background in heavy machinery.
• Experience creating large-scale manufacturing layouts.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D layouts of large scale machinery.
• Animate designs with flybys and 360° views.
• Produce general arrangement drawings and low‑res shells.
• Create flow diagrams (Visio or similar) to illustrate material flows.
• Assist tender bids and produce monthly reports.
