Job summary

Focus Resourcing is partnered with a well-established law firm in Wokingham seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its Wills & Inheritance team. You will manage your own caseload including wills, LPAs, probate, and tax planning, with opportunities to supervise and mentor junior staff.

The successful candidate will have 3–7 years’ PQE in Private Client, excellent client communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach to business development

Qualifications

• 3–7 years PQE in Private Client law.
• Experience across Wills, probate, tax planning, and trusts.
• Strong supervisory and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent client communication and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, LPAs, probate, estate administration, tax planning and trust administration.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and supervise/mentor colleagues.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the department and build relationships with referrers and contacts.
• Support business development, networking and marketing initiatives and raise the department’s profile locally.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Tax planning
• Trust administration
• Court of Protection mattersAlongside your own caseload, you will also have the opportunity to take on a broader role within the team, including:
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members
• Supervising, mentoring and developing colleagues
• Contributing to the strategic development of the department
• Building strong relationships with existing referrers and professional contacts
• Supporting business development, networking and marketing initiatives
• Raising the profile of the department within the local and professional communityAbout You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Have 3-7 years' PQE within Private Client law
• Have strong experience across a broad range of private client matters
• Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, particularly around complex estates and tax planning
• Have experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior fee earners
• Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Be commercially aware, with an interest in business development
• Be proactive, collaborative and committed to providing an exceptional client service
