Job summary

Resourcing Group is partnering with a well-established law firm to recruit a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive for its Wills & Inheritance team. You will handle varying private client matters and play a role in business development.

The successful candidate will have 3–7 years' PQE in private client law, be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive and demonstrate strong technical knowledge, client relationships and mentoring capabilities within a supportive

Qualifications

• Experience in private client law (Wills, estates, trusts) considered advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex estates and tax planning.
• Ability to supervise, mentor and develop junior fee earners.

Responsibilities

• Manage own varied caseload of private client matters: wills, LPAs, probate, estate admin, tax planning, trust admin, Court of Protection.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
• Supervise, mentor and develop colleagues within the team.
• Contribute to strategic development of the department and build relationships with referrers.
• Support business development, networking and marketing initiatives.
• Raise the profile of the department within the local and professional community.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Tax planning
• Trust administration
• Court of Protection matters

Alongside your own caseload, you will also have the opportunity to take on a broader role within the team, including:

• Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members
• Supervising, mentoring and developing colleagues
• Contributing to the strategic development of the department
• Building strong relationships with existing referrers and professional contacts
• Supporting business development, networking and marketing initiatives
• Raising the profile of the department within the local and professional community

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Have 3-7 years' PQE within Private Client law
• Have strong experience across a broad range of private client matters
• Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, particularly around complex estates and tax planning
• Have experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior fee earners
• Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Be commercially aware, with an interest in business development
• Be proactive, collaborative and committed to providing an exceptional client service
