Job summary

Focus Resourcing supports a well-established law firm recruiting a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to manage a varied caseload in Wills, probate and tax planning from Farnham.

The successful lawyer will lead on complex estates, supervise junior fee earners and contribute to business development, with clear progression in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3–7 years PQE in Private Client.
• Experience across wills, probate, estate administration and tax planning.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior fee earners and supporting business development.

Responsibilities

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its established Wills & Inheritance team.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney


• Probate and estate administration


• Tax planning


• Trust administration


• Court of Protection matters

Alongside your own caseload, you will also have the opportunity to take on a broader role within the team, including:

• Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members


• Supervising, mentoring and developing colleagues


• Contributing to the strategic development of the department


• Building strong relationships with existing referrers and professional contacts


• Supporting business development, networking and marketing initiatives


• Raising the profile of the department within the local and professional community

About You

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive


• Have 3-7 years' PQE within Private Client law


• Have strong experience across a broad range of private client matters


• Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, particularly around complex estates and tax planning


• Have experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior fee earners


• Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills


• Be commercially aware, with an interest in business development


• Be proactive, collaborative and committed to providing an exceptional client service
