Job summary

Eden Scott is recruiting a solicitor for our Edinburgh city centre client, focusing on general civil litigation with a preference for contentious private client work. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Scottish law, court experience, and a client-facing approach, coupled with excellent communication skills.

We are seeking a solicitor with experience of general civil litigation, preferably with experience of contentious private client work to join the Court team for our client based in Edinburgh city centre.

The successful candidate will be able to manage their own caseload and play an active role in an expanding department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career within a supportive environment and to further specialise in civil litigation and contentious private client work.

The successful candidate will -

• have experience of dealing with civil litigation preferably including contentious private client matters
• have a strong working knowledge of the relevant Scottish law
• have experience in a client-facing role and be confident dealing with court actions and court appearances
• have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• be enthusiastic and personable - able to establish good rapport with clients, colleagues, counsel and other professional advisers
• be able to work independently
