Job summary

RES is seeking a field-based Technician (Solar) to perform operations and maintenance on utility-scale PV plants and battery storage systems. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and performance within an on-site team, with on-call weekend duties and potential overtime.

A company vehicle, phone, and laptop are provided along with a broad benefits package and training. A fully qualified electrician with HV experience will ensure reliable operation, safety, and adherence to budgets

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with HV experience.
• Good understanding of AC/DC, SCADA, instrumentation, and comms networks.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements and maintain high safety standards.
• Undertake planned maintenance and inspections on solar PV plants.
• Troubleshoot faults in sensors, networks, and control systems.
• Liaise with vendors for fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and report progress.
