Job summary

FDO Consulting Limited seeks a Field Service Engineer (Solar) in the Gloucester area. You must be a qualified electrician to maintain and service ground-mounted solar farms, with training offered for solar PV specifics.

The role involves site travel for preventive and emergency maintenance, electrical inspections, and ensuring safe operation of HV/DC systems. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Qualified electrician with driving licence.
• Training provided for solar PV will be given to electricians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operation and production of solar parks.
• Travel to local sites for preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Provide high level electrical support and maintenance.
• Inspect DC and LH/HV sides of the plant.
• Test and resolve electrical systems.
• Visit sites regularly for upkeep.
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineer to fix issues.
