Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking two qualified Solar PV Electricians for an ongoing contract, focusing on the AC side, inverter, battery storage, and grid connection. There is NO roof work required; roof mounting and DC cabling are done by roofing teams.

Install, wire, and commission inverters and battery storage, perform consumer unit upgrades, and run AC cabling to the distribution board. Daily handover paperwork and test certificates are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Solar PV / Renewable Qualification (City & Guilds 2399-11, EAL Solar PV, or MCS-recognised).

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission solar inverters, battery storage systems, and AC isolators.
• Perform consumer unit upgrades or alterations where necessary.
• Run AC cabling from the inverter location to the main distribution board.
• Carry out full Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning (EIC) on completed installations.
• Complete and submit electronic handover paperwork and test certificates daily.

Location: Stourbridge / Kidderminster / Worcester

Position Type: Ongoing Contract

Workload: 5 jobs per week (1 job per day average)

Start Date: Immediate / Flexible

We are recruiting two qualified Electricians for an ongoing solar installation contract. This role focuses strictly on the AC side, inverter, battery storage, and grid connection.
