Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking a Solar PV Electrician to join an ongoing social housing project in the East Midlands and Worcestershire. The role involves installing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems and includes responsibilities such as AC and DC electrical works, testing, and compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in social housing environments. This is an immediate position with a long-term opportunity and competitive day rate.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card required.
• Experience working in domestic or social housing environments preferred.
• BPEC Solar PV qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of domestic Solar PV systems.
• AC and DC electrical works including containment, cabling and inverter installation.
• Testing, inspection and fault finding of systems.
• Completion of electrical certification and handover documentation.
• Maintain professionalism while working in occupied properties.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 and site H&S requirements.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to support a social housing Solar PV rollout across the East Midlands and Worcestershire. This is an immediate requirement with ongoing work available for the right contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of domestic Solar PV systems on social housing properties

• AC and DC electrical works including containment, cabling and inverter installation

• Testing, inspection and fault finding

• Completion of electrical certification and handover documentation

• Working in occupied properties with professionalism and strong customer service

• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with BS7671 and site H&S requirements

Essential Requirements

• 18th Edition (BS7671)

• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent City & Guilds qualification

• Valid CSCS Card

• Proven experience installing Solar PV systems

• Experience working in domestic or social housing environments

• Own tools and transport

Desirable

• BPEC Solar PV qualification

• BPEC Battery Storage (BESS) qualification
