Job summary

Winberry is seeking experienced Solar Electricians for ongoing contract work across commercial rooftop and domestic/social housing projects in the UK. Join our network for immediate starts and a steady pipeline of projects with established clients.

The role covers installing PV systems, wiring, inverter commissioning, and coordinating with roofing teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery. Self-employed contractors with own van and tools are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and 2391 Inspection & Testing required.
• Battery Storage qualification preferred; own van and tools essential; UTR & CIS registered; self-employed/contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial rooftop Solar PV systems.
• AC/DC electrical installation.
• Install and commission inverters.
• Work alongside roofing and installation teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Whether you're a Solar Electrician specialising in large commercial rooftop installations or a Solar Electrician with experience delivering domestic and social housing projects, we've got long-term opportunities ready to go. If you're a qualified Solar Electrician looking for consistent work, immediate starts and a strong pipeline of projects, we'd like to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solar Electrician wanting regular contract work with established clients across the UK.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

• ECS Gold Card
• Previous Solar PV installation experience
• Own van and tools
• UTR & CIS registered
• Self-employed/contract basis

The RoleCommercial Solar

• Install commercial rooftop Solar PV systems.
• AC/DC electrical installation.
• Install and commission inverters.
• Work alongside roofing and installation teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Domestic / Social Housing Solar

• Install residential Solar PV systems.
• Fit inverters, smoke alarms and extractor fans.
• Typical systems range from 5-7 panels.
• All surveys and materials are provided.
