Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core BI team to build and operate production backend systems around our BI platforms. You will work across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt to deliver durable, self‑service capabilities and improve governance and security.

The role focuses on backend services, APIs, integrations, automation and developer experience, with end‑to‑end ownership from discovery to production support.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of professional software engineering experience building production backend systems.
• Proficient in Python; SQL and data-modeling understanding.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, and automation with robust service boundaries.
• Hands-on production operations experience: CI/CD, observability, incident response.
• Clear communicator; capable of independent work in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate backend services and APIs for BI platforms.
• Automate workflows for metadata, permissions, migrations, and governance.
• Improve platform availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Develop self-service tooling to reduce manual admin for analytics teams.
• Collaborate with DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt teams to define shared standards.
