Job summary

Deliveroo London-based team on a DoorDash contract seeks a Manager of Engineering for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems to lead scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and integrations powering financial reporting and compliance at scale.

You will mentor engineers, drive the strategic roadmap, and partner with Finance and Accounting to deliver auditable, reliable platforms that accelerate closing cycles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data infrastructure tools (Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Workato).
• Strong working knowledge of financial processes — including revenue recognition, reconciliation, and close workflows.
• Clear communicator who can align diverse partners around complex technical tradeoffs and delivery timelines.
• Experience with distributed systems, data quality frameworks, and SOX-relevant controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic roadmap and execution for accounting infrastructure, including data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms powering financial reporting.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate requirements into auditable backend systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability for faster close and audit readiness.
