Job summary

Precept Recruit is recruiting for Senior Software Engineers and Software Engineers to join a growing team in Derby. The role focuses on secure software development for a UK sovereign technology company, requiring embedded C/C++ and a commitment to high-quality software.

The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge cyber security products, deliver secure and reliable software, and may need to obtain DV security clearance. Onsite in Derby with a strong emphasis on engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent STEM subject.
• Strong software design and coding skills.
• Experience in software development (typically three or more years).
• Embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Knowledge of software unit testing, automation and tools such as LDRA or Parasoft.
• Familiarity with MISRA or similar coding standards.
• Understanding of static analysis tools and software quality assurance.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality software.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

• Develop, test and maintain high-quality software applications and systems.
