Job summary

Precept Recruit is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite permanent role in Derby. You will design, develop and test embedded software with C/C++ in a security-conscious environment, focusing on high-integrity systems.

Role spans graduate to senior levels, offering opportunities to contribute to secure encryption and communications projects, with a strong emphasis on quality and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ software development.
• Multi-threaded embedded systems and RTOS.
• ARM-based microcontrollers, such as STM32.
• Embedded debugging techniques, including JTAG and ETM.
• Industry coding standards, such as MISRA and CERT C.
• Automated software unit testing tools, such as LDRA and Parasoft.

• Technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Developing and testing embedded software solutions using C/C++.

• ARM-based microcontrollers, such as STM32, including register-level programming.

• Embedded debugging techniques, including JTAG and ETM.

• Industry coding standards, such as MISRA and CERT C.

• Automated software unit testing tools, such as LDRA and Parasoft.

• Static analysis tools.

• Technical report writing.
