Job summary

Copello in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to shape architecture, standards and delivery across the full software lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to technical direction and promote best practices, while tackling challenging problems and evaluating new technologies to improve systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and developing complex software solutions.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Understanding of secure software development (DevSecOps).
• Experience with TDD and BDD testing methodologies.
• Strong programming skills in Linux environments.

An opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop software solutions supporting complex technical projects within a highly secure environment.

Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams, you will contribute to the development of reliable and scalable systems, helping to shape software architecture, engineering standards and technical delivery. This role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging engineering problems, influence technical decisions and contribute to continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

About You

• Proven experience designing and developing complex software solutions.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

• Experience with software testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
• Strong programming skills, with experience using multiple languages and technologies within a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of software architecture, development standards and deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
