Job summary

MASS is hiring a C# engineer for on-site work in the UK, focusing on .NET development in Windows and Linux environments. You will maintain and enhance mission-critical planning software, collaborate with customers, and contribute to a rigorous development and test cycle.

Required are 2+ years in C# development, Visual Studio and Git proficiency, and eligibility to obtain UK DV security clearance. On-site role with travel within/beyond the UK.

Qualifications

• Confident C# engineer with proficiency in .NET thick and thin development.
• STEM background preferred.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and liaise with customers.
• Solid computing fundamentals, data structures, and strong OOP design; familiarity with Git.

Salary: £41,500 - 68,500 per year

Requirements

• We need a confident C# engineer with proficiency in .NET thick and thin development.
• We ideally want an education background in STEM.
• We require the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and liaise regularly with customers.
• We expect a good understanding of computing fundamentals, such as logic and data structures, along with strong software design skills including Object-Oriented Programming and knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• We require 2+ years experience in C# development, or another language.
• We need knowledge of Visual Studio and MS Office products.
• You must be eligible to work and live in the UK.
• You must be eligible to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government Developed Vetting security clearance.

Responsibilities

• We support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of mission-critical planning software.
• We work in both Windows and Red Hat Linux environments.
• We contribute to a rigorous development and test cycle that maintains high customer confidence in the software and in our team.
• We comprehend requirement and document changes to analyse the scope of change required for a work item.
• We design, develop, and maintain an existing code solution.
• We test and review software applications and supporting documentation.
• We contribute to meetings and work groups, providing domain knowledge and expertise on technical matters.
• We collaborate within a team environment and communicate effectively.
• We suggest improvements for continuous improvement.
