Job summary

Everyturn Mental Health is seeking a proactive Soft Facilities Manager to lead cleaning, housekeeping and environmental services across our specialist nursing environments. You will ensure safe, compliant and welcoming settings while supporting IPC standards and resident care.

The role requires managing Domestic Housekeeping teams, coordinating rotas, and driving continuous service improvements across multiple sites in the Newcastle and Gateshead area.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing cleaning, soft services, facilities or operational services within a regulated environment.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing teams to deliver high-quality services and achieve performance standards.
• A sound understanding of IPC principles and their practical application within healthcare or other regulated environments.
• Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate rotas and maintain service continuity.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Competent IT skills and experience maintaining records and producing reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cleaning, laundry, waste management and environmental services across specialist services.
• Oversee Domestic Housekeeping teams, including workforce planning and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate rotas and workforce planning to maintain service continuity.
• Support IPC standards and respond to identified risks.
• Manage stock, consumables and waste management processes.
• Undertake audits, inspections and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor health and safety compliance including COSHH.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Provide operational support to maintain service delivery.
