Cumberland Council is seeking a Social Care professional to assess needs and deliver person-centred support in Workington, Cumbria. You will manage a caseload, assess risk, and work within financial boundaries to promote independence and wellbeing.
The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £39,481 to £40,444 per annum. DBS is required, and the post links to a multi-disciplinary team in a local authority setting.
Work within a District or Locality team to assess social care needs and deliver person‑centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing, choice, and control for people in Cumbria. Manage a caseload, coordinate outcomes, assess and manage risk, and work within financial boundaries. Develop strong partnerships with individuals, communities, and agencies to maximise access to local assets, preventative support, and services using a strengths‑based approach. Operate autonomously within a multi-disciplinary environment, handling complex cases while contributing to continuous service improvement and positive outcomes for the people of Cumbria.
