Join Cumberland Council's Cared for and Care Experienced Team as a Level 2 Social Worker, where you'll play a vital role in helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with children, young people and their families, building trusted relationships through effective communication, active listening and purposeful direct work. You will assess needs, identify risks, and develop outcome-focused plans that place the child's voice, experiences and aspirations at the centre of decision‑making.
Working within a supportive multi-agency environment, you will collaborate with partners across education, health, care and the wider community to ensure children receive the right help at the right time. You'll manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments and interventions, and use evidence-based practice to deliver meaningful, child-centred support.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
