As a Social Worker Team Manager, you will be stepping into a pivotal role within the Children With Disabilities team, supporting and leading a group of talented and compassionate social workers as they manage a spectrum of cases involving some of the most vulnerable children in the local authority.

What you will do:

  1. Lead and support a team of seven social workers who manage cases for children on Child Protection and Child in Need plans, as well as those in the care of the local authority.
  2. Provide supervision and strategic direction to ensure that children are safeguarded effectively.
  3. Undertake strategy meetings with police and other professionals, guiding the team through complex case procedures and overseeing court proceedings.
  4. Manage and address all team complaints, capabilities, and sickness procedures efficiently.
  5. Assist new social workers in completing their NQSW portfolio information and oversee complex cases, including care proceedings.
