Are you passionate about nature, heritage, and making a real impact on the environment? Were looking for an inspirational leader to spearhead the planning, management, and delivery of Norfolk County Councils Green Space and heritage asset projectskey initiatives supporting Local Nature Recovery across Norfolk.
In this dynamic role, youll work alongside conservation architects, woodland specialists, ecologists, community groups, NGOs, and other stakeholders to create and enhance thriving green and heritage spaces for people and wildlife alike.
What Youll Do
- Lead & Deliver: Oversee key projects, including woodland creation with public access and the restoration of NCCs heritage mills.
- Drive Collaboration: Build strong partnerships to implement innovative approaches for green infrastructure and improved access to nature and heritage.
- Manage & Inspire: Lead a dedicated team of three delivery officers, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety: Monitor risks, budgets, and project outcomes while ensuring adherence to environmental legislation, countryside health and safety, and site access regulations.
- Secure & Manage Funding: Identify external funding opportunities and oversee financial reporting, tender processes, and project evaluations.
About You
Were looking for a
motivated project manager with a strong track record in delivering green or heritage space projects. Youll have:
- Excellent leadership and project management skills
- A deep understanding of environmental legislation and green infrastructure principles
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership working
- Financial and strategic problem-solving skills
- A passion for enhancing Norfolks natural and heritage landscapes
