Job summary

Hoop Social Work in Monmouthshire is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the fostering service in Usk, working on a hybrid basis. You will coordinate fostering assessments, ensure progress within timescales, and quality assure work completed by internal and independent assessors.

The role requires extensive fostering experience, UK registration, enhanced DBS, and driving licence; 4 days per week with hybrid working arrangements and umbrella payroll options are offered.

Social Worker – Fostering Assessment Coordinator

Location: Usk, Monmouthshire
Working Pattern: 4 days per week | Hybrid working
Rate: £38.43 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Temporary

About the Role

Hoop Social Work are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join Monmouthshire Social Services, based in Usk, working within their fostering service.

This is a specialist role for a Social Worker with significant experience of fostering and undertaking fostering assessments, who can coordinate and quality assure assessments completed by both internal and independent assessors.

Working 4 days per week on a hybrid basis, you will play an important role in ensuring fostering assessments progress within the required timescales and meet the appropriate quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocating Form F and Form K assessments, alongside Letters of Instruction

About You

You will need to be an experienced Social Worker with a strong background in fostering and fostering assessments. This is a role where your knowledge and experience will be particularly important, so previous experience undertaking and/or quality assuring fostering assessments is essential.

To apply, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker
  • A recognised Social Work qualification
  • Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for a new DBS
  • 3 years of satisfactory referencing
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
