What you will do
- Recruit, assess, and support prospective foster carers through the fostering assessment process.
- Complete comprehensive fostering assessments, including Form F assessments where required.
- Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to approved foster carers.
- Deliver training and development opportunities to foster carers to promote high-quality care.
- Advocate for children and ensure their wishes, feelings, and experiences remain central to planning and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with children's social workers, education professionals, health services, and partner agencies.
- Support placement stability and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Participate in safeguarding processes and undertake risk assessments when required.
- Prepare detailed assessments, reports, and documentation for fostering panels and statutory reviews.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with legislation, policies, and professional standards.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of the fostering service.
Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
