Sanctuary Personnel - Social Worker Role in Slough

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to work based in Slough, within the Court Team.

Main Duties:
  1. Responsible for undertaking social work on allocated cases, producing outcome-based plans considering the needs of, and risks to, children and their families.
  2. Develop effective relationships with CYP and their families to improve the impact of work, ensuring written plans are agreed upon and reflect their views.
  3. Determine, using evidence-based practice, how needs will be met within the framework of council policies, resources, and statutory responsibilities.
  4. Maintain effective individual performance aligned with national standards and performance indicators, including regular supervision.
  5. Participate in routine auditing activities to uphold high standards of social work practice and record keeping, in accordance with the Quality Assurance Framework.
  6. Address the needs of service users from all communities, paying close attention to equality issues, and facilitate access to translation and interpretation services as needed.
  7. Complete financial assessments, determine contributions and levels of need/services, and identify resources to promote child/family wellbeing.
  8. Build and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies such as voluntary, community, schools, police, health, and other statutory bodies.
  9. Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken, ensuring information is current and comprehensive, including use of the Integrated Children's System.
  10. Manage case transfers effectively with clear plans, and contribute to service development and team meetings for integrated service delivery.
  11. Identify personal learning needs, reflect on practice, and utilize supervision to plan future development.
  12. Provide cover for team members and undertake additional projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience in frontline social work.

Additional Information:

Salary ranges from £35,119 to £42,367 per year, depending on experience, with full-time, permanent roles available in various locations including Stanmore, Uxbridge, Stevenage, Hillingdon, Slough, Merton, Wandsworth, and others. Part-time and locum opportunities are also available.
