Job summary

Somerset Council in Yeovil is looking for a passionate social worker to join the Assessment team, assessing needs and delivering support to children and families, in collaboration with multi-agency partners.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent contract, and a salary of £37,280 to £41,771 per year. You must have a recognised social care qualification and registration with Social Care England.

Qualifications

• Recognised social care qualification and registration with Social Care England.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Knowledge of Social Care England guidelines and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make ongoing assessments of allocated cases.
• Manage a caseload of varying complexity and risk.
• Conduct risk assessments to safeguard children and young people.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to identified needs.
• Undertake statutory and best practice reviews and ensure legal compliance.
