Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Service in Bury. The role focuses on statutory Children's Services, single assessments and section 47 enquiries with complex CIN/CP/Court caseloads.

Hybrid working is available, with both remote and office options and different start times. The service provides supervision, training and strong administrative support.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration is essential.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Post-qualifying experience in children’s services is required.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with other professionals on cases.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Work with children on the child protection register, looked after children and children in need.
• Attend court proceedings.
• Work with Public Law Outline (PLO).
• Prepare single assessments.
• Chair child protection conferences and meetings.
• Lead case conferences.
