Essex County Council is seeking a Social Worker for Assessment & Intervention in South Essex, based in Basildon. Permanent, full-time role with a salary of £36,124 to £51,834 per annum. NQSWs start at £36,124 rising to £38,487 after ASYE, with experienced staff up to £51,834.

The role offers a nine-day working fortnight for frontline Children’s services. You will work within Education & Families, focusing on CIN and safeguarding, across a wide Essex area.

Formación

• Diploma or degree in social work and registration with Social Work England.
• Demonstrable capability of practice in accordance with PCF/KSS.
• Demonstrate ability to apply social work knowledge using emotional intelligence and analytical skills.
• Good IT skills and ability to use information systems, including case recording.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends very occasionally.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a defined caseload and work effectively with children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes.
• Conduct enquiries, assessments and short-term interventions for CIN, CP and Looked After Children, with three months of intervention focus.
• Transfer cases to other teams where longer-term support is required or when a child comes into care.
• Support safeguarding and collaborate with partners to assess and manage risk.
