Essex County Council is seeking a Social Worker for the Assessment and Intervention Team in Mid Essex. This permanent, full-time role involves conducting incoming assessments and delivering brief, impactful interventions with families, focusing on Children in Need and safeguarding responsibilities.

The role requires Social Work England registration, adherence to PCF/KSS standards, and flexible working including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and registration with Social Work England as a social worker.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Professional Capability Framework (PCF) and Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).
• Ability to apply social work knowledge with emotional intelligence and analytical skills in challenging situations.
• Good IT skills and experience with social work case recording systems.
• Must be flexible, with occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Responsabilités

• Manage a defined caseload with children, young people, and families/carers.
• Conduct assessments and provide short-term interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
• Undertake direct work and reviews for Child Protection, CIN, and Looked After Children.
• Support permanency goals and mobility within Essex.
