Essex County Council is seeking an Adults Social Worker for South Essex, based in Basildon and surrounding areas. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a starting salary progression from £36,124 to £38,487 upon ASYE completion, rising through the pay band to £51,834 per year.

We focus on person-centred, statutory Care Act responsibilities, including assessments, reviews, and safeguarding, to help adults live independently with support from their networks.

Qualifications

• Social Worker registered with Social Work England is required.
• Driving licence and car or mobility to travel across Essex is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, reviews, support planning and safeguarding under the Care Act framework.
• Work with individuals and families to promote independence and determine what matters to the person.
• Travel across Essex to meet clients and work with partner agencies to provide a supportive framework.
