Job summary

Northumberland County Council is recruiting Social Workers for the Statutory Social Work Service across Northumberland, including Morpeth. Two full-time fixed-term posts are available.

You will carry a mixed caseload of children in a variety of circumstances and provide direct social work intervention to children, young people and families in the community, using the Signs of Safety model.

Qualifications

• Experience and passion for safeguarding children is required.
• Mixed caseload of children and families in community settings.
• Experience in statutory social work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry a mixed caseload of children in a variety of circumstances (CP/PLO/CF) and provide direct social work intervention to children, young people and families in the community.
• Work under the Signs of Safety model within a family and child focused Authority with strong management and leadership.
• Contribute to safeguarding children and participate in court processes as required.

We are looking for 2 x full time fixed term positions.
