Are you an experienced safeguarding social worker seeking a rewarding role where your expertise will make an immediate impact?

Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking two Senior Social Workers to join the Children’s Hub, providing vital support to our frontline safeguarding services. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong grounding in child protection and statutory social work to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload focused on safeguarding and child protection.
• Complete timely, high-quality assessments, care planning, and interventions.
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
• Participate in case discussions, strategy meetings, and child protection conferences.
• Maintain clear, concise records in line with statutory duties and best practice.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum of 3 years' frontline safeguarding experience.
• Ability to work from the Civic Centre at least 3 days per week.
• Committed to working 37 hours per week – with flexibility available (e.g., 4-day compressed week).
• Strong knowledge of child protection procedures, legislation, and frameworks.
