Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Children Looked After Team. As part of a local authority in the North East, you will work in a busy, supportive team assessing and supporting children and families, intervening early to provide help where needed. Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will deliver person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional knowledge and experience will enable you to make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, striving for the best interests of children. Your passion for supporting children and families will be vital in ensuring they thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with children and vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Continuous improvement mindset to optimize outcomes for children
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• High-quality service commitment
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
• Minimum 4 years qualified experience

Role Responsibilities:
