Qualified Social Worker - Children Looked After

Location: North East

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join the Children Looked After Team. As part of this team for a local authority in the North East, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with service users and families, intervening where needed to provide early support. You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, supporting the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to ensure needs are met.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, striving to provide the best results for children, with a passion for supporting children and families to thrive. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Focus on continuous improvement for children’s outcomes
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Dedicated to providing high-quality services
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
• 4+ years qualified
