Priory Hospital Enfield is seeking a Social Worker to join our team. This site-based role supports adult patients across acute and secure wards with a 37.5-hour week (9:00am–5:00pm), Monday to Friday.

Priory Hospital Enfield, Edmonton, North London is an acute and secure mental health service for adult males and females, including medium secure, low secure and acute wards. It provides specialist assessment, treatment and care for individuals with severe mental illness and complex needs. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus services and Edmonton Green Overground station nearby. It is approximately 2 miles from central London, with the A10 and M25 also within easy reach.

In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
You will be responsible for identifying the social/non-medical needs for the patients and for ensuring those needs are met. This role includes detailed risk assessment & management, safeguarding responsibilities, and liaison with families & community networks.

Applicants must hold a Degree in Social Work and be currently registered with Social Work England, with completion of the ASYE or equivalent post-qualifying experience. They should have experience managing a caseload independently and undertaking assessments, risk management, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning, as well as working with multi-agency partners. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policy is required, along with the ability to manage complex cases under appropriate supervision. Candidates must also demonstrate strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills, alongside the ability to produce professional reports and maintain accurate records.
