Job Overview

Join Evolve Psychology at our Exeter Clinic as a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner and make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families. This hybrid role combines clinic-based and remote work, with full-time or part-time availability (minimum three days per week). You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality autism and ADHD assessments via NHS-funded referrals and private pathways.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face structured observations and remote developmental history interviews (via Zoom).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions and provide clear, compassionate feedback to families.
  • Produce accurate clinical reports, including diagnostic formulations, using the organisation’s smart tools.
  • Meet service KPIs and manage caseload efficiently.
  • Provide clinical supervision where applicable.
  • Travel to the Exeter clinic for in-person assessments (hybrid only).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 1 year professional registration with HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England.
  • Minimum 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations and DSM-5 criteria.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for high-quality reports and family interactions.
  • Effective time-management and caseload organisation skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
