Job summary

Wates is seeking a hands-on leader to manage the responsive repairs team across site and office environments. You will drive on-time completion of works to high standards, visit sites, plan and report, and monitor performance and safety across projects in the Crawley area.

The role requires SSSTS and proven social housing repairs experience. You will engage residents and contractors, ensuring effective issue resolution and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• SSSTS certification is required at minimum.
• Proven experience in social housing repairs.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Local to Crawley with a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the responsive repairs team.
• Ensure all repair works are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Carry out site visits and oversee office-based planning and reporting.
• Monitor team performance, compliance, and health & safety requirements.
• Build strong relationships with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
