Job summary

Wmjobs is recruiting for a Social Care Co-ordinator to lead the Joint Equipment Stores service in Sandwell. You will supervise frontline staff, promote high standards of practice, and deliver person-centred support enabling adults to live safely and independently at home.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, two years’ relevant experience and at least a year of supervising staff. You will travel across the borough and may work weekends as part of rota.

Qualifications

• Two years’ relevant experience in Adult Social Care, health, prevention services or related environment.
• At least one year supervising or managing staff, performance and service delivery.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation, assessment frameworks and service delivery within Adult Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and motivate frontline staff, creating a positive, inclusive and high‑performing team culture.
• Support staff to help vulnerable adults achieve their goals, exercise choice and maximise independence.
• Complete regular supervision and appraisals, identifying and addressing training and development needs.
• Manage HR processes including recruitment, attendance, capability, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Monitor performance and ensure compliance with legislation, safeguarding and quality standards.
• Respond to complaints and enquiries with excellent customer care.
