SMT Machine Operator in Dartford is joining a successful electronics manufacturer with full training provided and long-term career development opportunities. The role runs Monday to Thursday, 06:00-14:30, with pay at £13.10 per hour and excellent benefits including enhanced pension, life assurance and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Surface Mount experience advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with Europlacer pick and place equipment would be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong decision‑making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing processes.
• Set up, run and adjust SMT printers, pick and place machines, ovens and AOI equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain operational standards.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Follow technical instructions and manufacturing diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Comply with all health, safety and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Support continuous improvement within the production department.
