Morgan Jones Recruitment seeks an SMT Machine Operator to join the production team in Dartford, Kent. The role runs Monday to Thursday, 06:00–14:30 with full training provided to develop skills in electronics manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience looking to grow in electronics production, with long-term career development and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Surface Mount experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with Europlacer pick and place equipment would be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer literacy.
• Strong problem solving and ability to follow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual surface mount processes.
• Set up, run and adjust SMT printers, pick and place machines, ovens and AOI equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain standards.
• Ensure production targets and quality requirements are met.
• Follow technical instructions and manufacturing diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement within production.

About the Role

Our client, a highly successful and internationally recognised electronics manufacturer, is seeking an Machine Operator to join their production team in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their career within electronics production. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for both experienced SMT operators and candidates with a manufacturing background looking to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing processes
• Set up, run and adjust SMT printers, pick and place machines, ovens and AOI equipment
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain operational standards
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
• Follow technical instructions and manufacturing diagrams
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Comply with all health, safety and hazardous material handling procedures
• Support continuous improvement within the production department
