Job summary

Right Match Recruitment Group is seeking an SMT Production Engineer in Dartford to support SMT lines, optimise processes and drive continuous improvements. You will programme SMT machinery and collaborate with design teams to ensure smooth product introductions.

The role requires SMT/electronics manufacturing experience, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Salary £27,000–£30,000 DOE with standard hours and company benefits.

Qualifications

Experience in SMT/electronics manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and SMT machinery.
Experience with machine programming and process improvement.
Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is advantageous.
Experience with Europlacer equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day operation of the SMT production lines.
Monitor machine performance and identify productivity improvements.
Analyse production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with new product introductions into manufacture.
Collaborate with Production and Design teams to improve processes.
Program SMT machinery and produce SOPs and work instructions.
Monitor process and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Support preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Assist pre-production builds and new product introductions.
