Job summary

Marsh in the UK is recruiting three Insurance Business Development Executives to grow the SME commercial segment in Witham and Worcester. You will focus on direct-to-client acquisition and the rapid placement of commercial risks with premiums between £5,000 and £20,000.

This hybrid role requires you to work at least four days a week on the road or in the office, with potential to work from our Bristol office.

Qualifications

• 12+ months in commercial insurance sales with proven results.
• Knowledge of Commercial Combined, Contractors and related lines (£5k–£20k).
• Comfortable with quoting portals and open-market placements.

Responsibilities

• Source, qualify and convert direct client opportunities (£5k–£20k).
• Move deals quickly with disciplined qualification, quoting and follow-up.
• Provide clear handovers to servicing teams and support retention in month 0–12.
• Feed insurer appetite and market insight into product development.
• Build direct client and introducer/referral partnerships that drive leads.
• Keep accurate records and follow Marsh policies.
