Octopus Energy Services is seeking smart meter engineers to install meters in customers' homes across the UK. You’ll fit meters, demonstrate in-home displays, explain energy savings and answer questions about our green energy revolution you are leading.

You’ll join an active team with strong performance goals, supported by a large tech power, providing training facilities, a company vehicle, a pension, and opportunities to up-skill into renewable tech such as Electric Vehicles and heat pumps.

Formación

• MOCoPA held within the last 3 years and can provide evidence.
• Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work and how it saves energy.
• Answer customer questions and provide excellent service as part of Octopus Energy Services.
• Represent the Octopus brands with a focus on safety and customer excellence.

We're looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself. You’ll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading. As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have the best of everything you need to deliver the top-class service we’re aiming for. You’ll be supported by an office team who will share the same performance goals, so we’re always working as one team. You’ll also have the backing of Octopus Energy’s massive tech power - so we’ll be able to constantly evolve and shift processes to ensure less time spent on admin and more time spent on delivering our best service.

What you’ll need:

• MOCoPA - held within the last 3 years and can provide evidence
• Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

Call-out and Overtime

You will be on a rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), for which you will receive a £250 retainer. If called out, you’ll be paid from door to door

Saturday working:£50 for attending £70 for a dual fuel installation£35 for a single fuel installationTechnical aborts are paid at half rate

We do things a little differently around here. If successful in our eligibility questions, we’ll be in touch to discuss joining us at our in-person recruitment event, Octopalooza, where you can show us what you’ve got! On the day you'll be welcomed by our team. We'll check over your qualifications & ask you to complete a practical trade test to show off your skills. You'll then have a short interview with an Area Manager so we can learn more about you, your experience and your motivation. You’ll also have the chance ask any questions and learn more about life as a Smart Meter Engineer with Octopus!
