Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Metering team. You'll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.
What will you be doing?
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be visiting various properties throughout the day, working on Smart Meters in both homes and businesses. You'll be using a handheld device to complete your tasks, and once done, you'll update all the details on your tablet, keeping records for new and existing customers up to date. You will be reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters, changing SIM cards, modems, and small gain aerials, re-joining smart devices to the network while in contact with energy companies, and exchanging batteries on gas meters. You'll also complete site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties.
