Job summary

Build Recruitment, on behalf of a client, is seeking a Small Works Contracts Manager in Dorset to oversee delivery of small works projects from instruction to completion. You will manage trades and subcontractors, coordinate with estimators and maintain strong client relationships.

The role requires experience in contracts or project management, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing progress updates.
• Liaising with tenants and residents to arrange and coordinate works.
• Procuring materials and ensuring resources are available when required.
• Monitoring project costs, identifying efficiencies and supporting profitability.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Small Works Contracts Manager

Location: Dorset
Salary: £45,000 £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm
Benefits: Company car, fuel card, 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays

The Company

Build Recruitment is working with a client to recruit a Small Works Contracts Manager to oversee projects from initial instruction through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially minded individual with experience managing projects, coordinating trades and subcontractors, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role

As Small Works Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of small works projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing projects from initial instruction through to completion.
• Coordinating directly employed trades and subcontractors.
• Working closely with estimators to ensure a smooth handover of projects.
